Happy new year 2021! As you know – if you have followed Storyclash for a while – we love to take this time of the year to celebrate the Media which performed extraordinarily well throughout the past 12 months.
That being said, let's bring on the Social Media Awards 2020!

To determine the most successful media sites in Austria as well as the year’s top post, we consider all sites including articles, pictures and videos. Total interactions are measured across the platforms of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and TikTok.

2020’s most successful Media Sites in Austria:

We have a new number one: Zeit im Bild made it to the top with over 67 million interactions.

Coming in second is MISS with around 48 million interactions, followed by with a total of almost 26 million interactions on social media. 

🥇 Zeit im Bild

Zeit im Bild has gathered a total of 1.4 million fans on social media, posted over 17.000 times and got most of their interaction last year on Instagram (77.2%), followed by Facebook (22.8%). 


MISS has a total of more than 741.000 fans. Instagram works best for them, earning over 36.5 million interactions compared to their next-best platform: Facebook – 12 million.


A total of more than 803.000 social media fans follow Facebook is their top-performing social media platform, they earned over 62% of all their social media interactions on there.

🎉 Most successful social media post of the year

The top social media post of 2020 is from Sky Sport Austria. It was posted on their TikTok account and gathered a total of 159.926 interactions.
